Reading has advanced my spiritual journey, just like the purpose of my blog is to share with you the lessons I’ve learned. Instead of going through years of karmic cycles on your own, sometimes having things explained to you from another perspective is all you need to integrate them. Here are 5 books I classify as ‘must reads’ because of their teachings.
1. The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
An invitation to step out of the noise of your mind and into the peace of the present moment. Tolle reveals how most of our suffering comes from living in the past or future instead of experiencing true freedom in the present moment. This book will teach you to witness your thoughts instead of becoming them and how to align with your most authentic self.
2. The Four Agreements – Don Miguel Ruiz
Ruiz shows you how most of your emotional pain comes from unconscious beliefs and how you can re-claim your power by choosing new ones. Through four transformative principals he offers a clear path to inner peace and a more empowered life.
3. Stop Letting Everything Affect You – Daniel Chidiac
In this book Chidiac explains how much of your suffering comes from absorbing other people’s opinions, emotions and expectations – and how learning how to center yourself, set boundaries, and choose your responses can transform your life. It will help you step out of emotional reactivity and into true emotional strength, teach you how to set boundaries, and finally end your people-pleasing era.
4. You Can Heal Your Life – Louise Hay
Louise Hay teaches you how your thoughts, beliefs, and self-talk shape your emotional and physical well-being. This book is both an awakening and a warm embrace, reminding you that you are worthy of healing and capable of rewriting your inner world, which will then transform your outer world. I can genuinely say this book changed my life and I am not sure I would be who I am today if I didn’t read it.
5. Ask and It Is Given – Esther and Jerry Hicks
A magical guide to understanding the Law of Attraction and your innate power to shape your reality through your energy, emotions, and focus. It’s about removing blocks and allowing source to flow abundantly into your life. I call it a magical guide because I felt as if it were written my God and I was lucky enough to have it in my hands. Every page was like a therapy session, an awakening and exactly what I needed.
What books have you read on your spiritual journey that have helped you transform?
