Have you ever wondered why someone doesn’t seem to ever get jealous? It doesn’t matter how little they have or how much they see others have. How does someone manage so much hate directed at them? Yet, they stay in a happy and loving mood. It’s because they understand how the universe works and know what the 12 laws are. Although you can’t see them, or feel them, they exist and affect every single being on the planet. Today I am going to tell you what they are and simply explain their purpose. (PSA- all your spiritual friends already know and live by these laws)
1. The Law of Divine Oneness
This law states that everything is connected. You, your cat, and the grocery store clerk. All living things are manifestations of the same source energy. As stated in the book 12 Laws of the Universe by Manhardeep Singh – “Everything is energy. So when you are having a low energy (vibration), the same is sent out into the world, and it brings down the overall vibrations of the world. As the law says, we all are connected. So your vibrations, affect my vibrations and vice versa. So when you are low – I simply cannot be as high. This is because your low and my high will balance each other at somewhere in the middle.”
2. The Law of Vibration
Everything is energy and everything is vibrating at a certain frequency. Stated by the one and only Nikola Tesla “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” My favourite way to think about vibrations are through my emotions or e-motions (energy in motion) every e-motion has a certain frequency; anger, jealousy, depression being low and slow and compassion, joy and love being fast and high.
3. The Law of Attraction
Ah, the most mainstream law! I’m sure you must have heard of this one by now. The law of attraction simply states that vibrations of the same frequency attract each other i.e. if you are always complaining, chances are you will find another co-worker who wants to complain as much as you do. Or if you like to work hard, make money, improve yourself; chances are you will find yourself surrounded with people who are doing the same.
4. The Law of Correspondence
This law simply states your inner world will decide what manifests in your outer world. Otherwise put as “as above, so below” Pro tip: you don’t attract what you want, you attract what you are.
5. The Law of Action
A law I believe is not spoken about enough- you must take action to get results. Being spiritual is more than meditating. It requires aligned action.
6. The Law of Cause and Effect
Think Karma! Every action has an equal or greater reaction. This means there is always a consequence. Some famous quotes about this law are “you reap what you sow” or “what goes around comes around”. Simply put, don’t do onto others what you don’t want done to you. (yes, that includes your reaction to something that was done to you- never drop to their vibration especially now that you know about these laws)
7. The Law of Compensation
Simply put we are rewarded for what we give, our generosity, our love. We get what we give.
8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
(My personal favourite) This law states that we have the power to transmute (change) it. Victor Frankl once said “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Your thoughts, words, actions and reactions are where your power lies. What I’m saying is that if someone approaches you with a bad attitude and a rude comment, that energy doesn’t have to stick with you. Before you respond, you alchemize the energy. You can choose a different vibration and whether you continue to think about their rude comment or not.
9. The Law of Relativity
This law states that everything is relative and emphasizes the importance of our perception. The way you interpret life is your free will; you can focus on what you don’t have and always feel like you are lacking, or you can focus on what you do have and always feel fulfilled.
10. The Law of Polarity
This law states that there are two sides to everything. Simply explained you can appreciate ‘good days’ because bad days exist. You love being happy because you know how it feels to be sad.
11. The Law of Rhythm
This law states that nothing is permanent. Ohhhhh, scary for those that hate change, but this is a good thing! Simply put, the universe has a greater understanding of everything than you do. It’s important to go with the flow. Trust in the timing of the universe. Have faith, believe in yourself and trust that you are always taken care of while simultaneously working towards your goals.
12. The Law of Gender
This law states manifestations require balance of energies. Both feminine and masculine (yin and yang) are required in equilibrium to create anything. VERY simply put, your feminine energy will manifest a million-dollar beautiful idea, and your masculine energy will take action to make it happen. Both are different, yet both are of equal importance and require each other to achieve success and peace, understood? One will never reach harmony without the other.
There you have it, the laws of the universe simply explained – now that you are aware of them, I’m sure you will start noticing them in your life repeatedly. Keep these laws in mind and you will be able to work with the universe instead of feeling like you are fighting with it.
Love to all and harm to none – Jessie
